PURPOSE:To diminish the generation of boiling droplet of water on a plate and to smooth a flow of said water by inclining the spreading direction of a flat spray at every neighboring header symmetrically for a central axis between respective headers. CONSTITUTION:A steel plate heated at high temperature to be passed is cooled by using a cooling apparatus in which plural upper and lower spray-headers arranged in a rectangular direction to a passing direction of said steel plate are provided, and plural flat spray nozzles are provided thereto. The spreading directions of the sprays are arranged reversely at every header 6. Therefore, because the spreading directions of the respective sprays become a similar direction between the sprays facing respectively, the running water 4 flows in some direction without staying even if the running water 4 happens to collide. As a result, the running water 4 between sprays flows at high speed and is discharged before the boiling droplet of water on a plate is generated. |
