PURPOSE:To readily and reliably manufacture a hot contact of a thermocouple element by digging and removing the element and insulting powder in the prescribed depth in the end of a sheath, and then butting the ends of the exposed thermocouple by a molding jig. CONSTITUTION:The end of a structure 38 held by a holding tool 34 is cut and then digged to the prescribed depth at the thermocouple elements 2, 2 and insulating powder 4 in the end of a sheath 1. After digging, a movable base 17 is moved backward, a drill 19 is removed from the end of the sheath 1, the powder 4 filled in the end of the sheath 1 is externally sprayed with high pressure air to remove to the prescribed depth. Then, the movable unit 34 is moved to the front side of a molding machine 14, and a molding jig 25 mounted on a jig mounting unit 24 is inserted into the end of the sheath 1. The jig 25 inserted into the sheath 1 presses the ends of the elements 2, 2 to be plastically deformed to approach to each other. |
