The parallel template is a rule with a measuring scale and rounded-off tip as well as equi-spaced bores (see attached drawing). By placing the parallel template against the desired reference edge, this reference edge can be followed in parallel on the workpiece (wood, linoleum, etc.) put underneath. The desired shape is thus visibly copied and only needs to be sawn out, cut, etc. The part can now be fitted in. <IMAGE>
