摘要 In a method for monitoring a gas cooling system of an electrical machine, especially a turbogenerator, in which the cooling gas inlet flow from a gas source to the electrical machine is continuously detected by means of a gas quantity meter and in which, if the gas loss rises to a predetermined value in a predetermined period of time, a rapid-closing valve is closed, it is provided, in order to detect the total gas loss in the predetermined period of time, that counting pulses are derived from the continuous detection of the gas quantity flowing in, and said pulses are supplied to a first and a second gas quantity counter, which gas quantity counters are reset in each case after a predetermined time period if the counter state is less than a predetermined gas loss value or is equal to this value, and if the counter state within the predetermined time period exceeds a level corresponding to the predetermined gas loss value, the gas quantity counters close the rapid-closure valve, the predetermined time period of the first counter being longer than that of the second counter, and the predetermined gas loss value of the first counter being greater than that of the second counter. <IMAGE>
