Regulating devices for steam generators have at least one consumer connected via a steam supply and return line. In order that the pressure in the steam generator is always controlled to such a level that precisely the optimum pressure is obtained at the consumer, the power losses on any steam extraction being taken into consideration, the control of the steam pressure in the steam generator takes place via a pressure regulator connected into the steam supply line in the region directly before the consumer.
