Shooting jackets for sporting shooting serve, by means of their cut and their strong finishing, together with the resistant material, to give a correspondingly strong and secure aim. The heavy, strong material of such shooting jackets restricts mobility, however, especially when aiming "prone". In order to remedy this, according to the invention, it is proposed that the back part 1 of the torso be connected, at least by an upper part of the back, via releasable closures, to the remaining parts, as a result of which not only is better mobility guaranteed for the "take aim", but also the head posture, which was previously affected by the rucking-up of the collar material at the back of the head, is no longer adversely affected. <IMAGE>
