摘要 A submunition body (4), which can be fired by means of a spin-stabilized artillery projectile (3) and can be ejected by this over a target zone (2) and which is equipped with a distance and target-detection sensor (10) and with a combat charge (12) with a projectile-forming hollow-charge insert (18), is to be designed so that, at a lower outlay in terms of production, it can be used more effectively as a result of a relatively enlarged useful space for the combat charge. For this purpose, all constructive and functional measures for braking the kinetic rotational energy after the ejection from the carrier projectile (3) are abandoned; the requirements of the spiral sensing of the target zone (2) are satisfied in that the submunition body (4) descending with rapid intrinsic rotation is designed as a flat cylinder (17) which executes a stable tumbling movement about a curve of descent (7) into the target zone (2). As a result of this non-braked descent at a high angular tumbling speed, a rapid attack on the target object, which can be homed in on reliably by means of a closely staggered spiral sensing path, takes place. The centrifugal forces acting on the transformation of the hollow-charge energy (18) as a result of the high intrinsic rotational speed are compensated by a greater radial component during the projectile formation as a result of a more pronounced curvature of the insert edge region (19). <IMAGE>
