<p>PURPOSE:To make a device small-sized and high-precision to improve the reliability by detecting the inclination of a stylus pen on a basis of a signal from conductor wires on a substrate by a pair of coils provided in this pen. CONSTITUTION:The first and the second exciting coils 2 and 3 are provided in a stylus pen 1, and an axis S of coils 2 and 3 is allowed to coincide with the axis of this pen 1. These coils 2 and 3 are excited alternately in time division by a high frequency, and a voltage induced on conductor wires 6 on a substrate 5 synchronously with this excitation is read and identified. A stroke switch 7 is used for setting a mode of the pen 1. Conductor wires 6 are laid in X and Y directions on the substrate 5 to read coordinates of the pen 1. Thus, relations between an angle theta of inclination of the pen 1 to the substrate 5 and a length (l) between a primary induced voltage position 11 of the penpoint and a position 13 of a secondary peak due to the exciting coil 2 are measured preliminarily to generate a table, and the direction of inclination is obtained on a basis of this table.</p> |
