PURPOSE:To make joint between lines less visible by differentiating the layout of heads in various colors in the direction of deflection. CONSTITUTION:An inkjet head 21, a charging electrode 22, a deflection electrodes 23 and 24, a gutter 25 and the like are arranged on a carriage 10 respectively for colors of black B, cyane C, magenta M and yellow Y and the heads 21 are arranged at an interval l equivalent to 8 dots. Data is transferred to the charging electrodes 22 of the heads 21 corresponding to printing information signal for each head, the presence of deflection at 32 stages is controlled accordingly. At this point, as the heads 21 of the respective colors varies by 8 dots, joints in one scan are shifted by 8 dots. Thus, joint parts can be less visible even when an image is printed. |
