PURPOSE:To enable to reduce the installation area of a semiconductor device, cubicle, and to prevent the cubicle from corrosion and insulating breakdown due to bedewing water by a method wherein an air cooler is stored in the cubicle and the cubicle is made in a structure wherein the interior of the common base of the cubicle is utilized as a wind channel. CONSTITUTION:An air cooler 5 is arranged on the common base of a cubicle 3 and in the lower direction of a semiconductor power converter 1. The common base has a cavity 9 and the cavity 9 interconnects with the interior of the cubicle 3 through ventilating holes 10 and constitutes a part of a cooling air circulating passage. In this cooling structure, air cooled by the cooler 5 rises as indicated by arrows, and after cooling the semiconductor power converter 1, the air exceeds a wind partition plate 11, flows to the side of an attachment appliance 2, flows down while cooling the applicance 2, enters the interior of the cavity 9 from the ventilating holes 10 and cycles to the cooler 5 through the ventilating holes 10 from the cavity 9. In this structure, when steam is bedewed by the cooler 5, the bedewing water is not circulated through the interior of the cubicle 3, because the bedewing water is not blown away by a cooling fan 6 but drops in a base 8. |
