PURPOSE:To obtain exact amount of soil in a bucket by a method in which the soil placing face of a bucket is divided into plural blocks and the amount of soil is obtained by a distance detector sliding crossly to the moving direction of the bucket moving the distance until reaching each block. CONSTITUTION:A bucket 1 is connected endlessly between an upper tumber 2 and a lower tumber and rotationally driven to dredge soil and sand from the seabed. A distance detector 5 is provided slidably in the direction of crossing the moving direction of the bucket 1 above the moving path of the endless bucket. The soil placing face of the bucket 1 is divided into plural small blocks, and the detector 5 is slided several times to measure the distances of each block from the upper end front to the upper end rear of the bucket 1. The detected distances are put in an arithmetic unit 6 to obtain the amount Cb of soil in the bucket. The amount of soil in the bucket 1 can thus be automatically mearsured with good accuracy. |
