PURPOSE:To make program development efficient by retrieving a functional symbol table memory on a basis of an input signal passing a pattern recognizing device using a photoelectric converting device and accessing a prescribed address to perform program processings. CONSTITUTION:Not only a ROM 4' where a system program is stored, an auxiliary memory 7, etc. but also a TV camera 22 which picks up it image of functional symbols on a standard form 21, a functional symbol table memory 25, and a data buffer memory 26 are connected to a CPU. First, the functional symbol of instruction set is entered on the form 21 and is read by the camera 22 and is registered in the memory 25, and the form 21 where a data example is written is set to start the processing of the ROM4', and individual symbols are detected by the camera 22 and are stored in the memory 26. Next, contents of the memory 25 are retrieved to access an assemble code with an address pointer corresponding to the coincident code, and it is transferred to generate an object.
