In track pulling and braking structures (Fig. 7) and in rolling vehicle transporting systems (Fig. 8), it is necessary to support large forces and to transmit considerable amounts of torque. The pressing forces are a multiple of the horizontal forces, depending on the coefficient of friction u and regardless of whether the upper or the lower track system is driven. Exploitation of up to the entire surface in the pressing region is achieved by exploiting the supporting width up to the track division (T) and making the exploited width lie within the centres of rotation. The track segments (4a-d) are obtained in accordance with the permissible load by up to X support points in the form of a roller or rollers or sliding surfaces. Support is provided by the guide surfaces (9). If the circulating surface/track system is used in rolling vehicle transporting systems, the very high load bearing capacity of rolling vehicle transporting systems is maintained. The previous linear contact between the rollers and the bearing surface (7) is replaced by contact over a relatively large area. The rolling resistance is considerably reduced for an unprepared external bearing surface as rolling is carried out in running troughs. This applies especially to uneven and elastic bearing surfaces such as concrete or carpeted floors. <IMAGE>
