The invention relates to a contact arrangement for a pantograph interrupter switch for high short-circuit currents, having a mating contact piece (1) which is mounted on a cable and interacts with in each case two moving contact pieces which are connected to the upper pantograph struts (2). In order considerably to increase the short-circuit strength of the pantograph interrupter switch, at least one of the contact pieces (1, 2) which are equipped with contact rails (4) is constructed such that the contact rail (4) is connected on the side facing away from the contact surface to an elastic sheet-metal strip (5), which is bent a plurality of times in a U-shape and is mounted on the pantograph strut (2) at its other end. The U-shaped parts (5) are embedded in an elastic material. The separation (a) of the U-shaped parts (5) is greater than the separation (b) of the limbs of the U-shaped parts, in order to obtain a resultant force (F) which is as large as possible. <IMAGE>
