PURPOSE:To transfer favorably, by a method wherein coloring materials provided on a thermal transfer paper are sequentially brought into overlap correspondence with the surface of a binder material adhered to a recording paper, and the binder material corresponding with the coloring material is heated by a heating means. CONSTITUTION:A heated part of the coloring material 7a is released from the surface of a base paper 6 of the thermal transfer paper 5, is transferred and adhered to the first binder material 8a on the recording paper 4, and is dissolved, resulting in that it is contained into or firmly adhered to the first binder material 8a, whereby thermal transfer is effected. As the recording paper 4 and the thermal transfer paper 5 are moved, each line of the coloring material 7a is sequentially thermally transferred, whereby thermal transfer of the coloring material 7a is completed over the entire length of the binder material 8. Next, the recording paper 4 is returned leftward by a distance equal to the length of the binder material 8, the leading end of the binder material 8a corresponds to the second coloring material 7b, and thermal transfer is effected. Then, the third coloring material 7c is similarly thermally transferred, thereby completing recording. |
