PURPOSE:To obtain a color image of excellent quality having high image sharpness without fogging nor color mixture by collecting and recovering a scattered developer by a developer collection path, collecting means, and developer scatter preventing means. CONSTITUTION:A developer collector 30 attracts and collects the scattered developer through a collection guide 31 provided among developing machines 25a- 25c. Scatter preventing members 32a and 32b are provided in the collection guide 31 and closely to a photosensitive drum 11. Those scatter preventing members 32a and 32b seal the developers 25-25c and serves as guides for collecting the scattered developer.
