The invention relates to a warp-knitted fabric for net curtains, lace or the like, having a fabric ground formed by a system of open or closed fringes and having two systems of weft yarns drawn in unstitched. To provide high transparency along with good transverse stability, the two weft-yarn systems alternately form in counterlay single-yarn cross-connections between adjacent fringes and the fringes are pulled together in knots in a star-shaped manner by means of the cross-connections.
