A dental apparatus with consumer points (3 to 11) for a fluid such as air and/or water possesses in series a flowmeter (32, 34) and an adjustment valve (33, 35) in the fluid supply line (1, 2). The adjustment valve can be adjusted by a regulator (49) to which is fed, on the one hand, a target value allocated to a consumer point and, on the other hand, the actual value measured by the flowmeter (32, 34). In particular, flowmeter (32, 34) and adjustment valves (33, 35) may be arranged in the common fluid supply line (1, 2). A target value switching device (52) feeds the target value allocated to the particular activated consumer point (3 to 11) to the regulator (49). This results in the consumer values being maintained very accurately. <IMAGE>
