The tandem consists of two individual cycles which are releasably connected to one another via connection fittings. In this process, the rear wheel fork of the front individual cycle is connected to the front wheel fork of the rear individual cycle and an upper connection fitting serves to connect the saddle clamping sleeve of the front individual cycle to the front frame head of the rear individual cycle and a lower connecting fitting serves to connect the rear wheel fork of the front individual cycle to the front wheel fork of the rear individual cycle, the lower connection fitting engaging at the same time on the lower rear frame bearing tube of the rear individual cycle. With the conversion system described it is possible to construct a tandem cycle from two individual cycles in a simple and quick manner and, vice versa, to dismantle this tandem cycle again to form two individual cycles.
