Filament cable prodn. - with drawing unit after each melt spinning station to give a high-speed single-stage continuous process

In the mfr. of a fibre cable with a titre >10,000dtex, the melt spun filaments of thermoplastic material are produced at a rate of >3,000m/min. drawn and collected into bundles and deposited as a cable. The filament bundles are drawn individually after continuous spinning, and the running bundles are collected and laid as a cable. Process allows capillary filaments to be spun through the jets at speeds above 2,800m/min. giving a drawn fibre cable in a single-stage continuous action.
