PURPOSE:To drop and circulate a mixed solution of a lithium halide and a lower alcohol through a preheated lower alcohol, by reducing the pressure of a closed vessel containing a solid lithium halide sealed therein, flowing the preheated lower alcohol from the bottom of the vessel, and forcing the lower alochol to come into contact with the solid lithium halide. CONSTITUTION:A lower alcohol, e.g. methanol, is poured into an alcohol reservoir 2, and a solid lithium halide, e.g. anhydrous lithium bromide, is put into an absorbent holding part 7. Flanges 14 and 15 are then fixed, and a vacuum valve 22 is opened to reduce the pressure in the interior of a vessel shown in the figure. Water is then passed from the outside of a condensing part 16, and heated by a heater 5 to boil vigorously the alcohol. The boiling alcohol vapor is then passed through a blowing pipe 12, and the absorbing solution and alcoholic vapor collide with the absorbent in the holding part 7. The vapor is absorbed in the absorbent to form an absorbing solution, which dissolves the absorbent to become a concentrated solution. The resultant concentrated solution is passed through a mesh 8 and a return pipe 11 and dropped to the reservoir 2. EFFECT:The aimed absorbing solution of high purity is obtained in a short time without using any mechanical driving part. |
