PURPOSE:To obtain an image excellent in contrast by implanting bias charge simultaneously with exposure to a toner which is made conductive by exposure thereby providing a substantial difference in the quantity of electrification between the toner in the region where light is irradiated and the region where the light is not irradiated. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive toner 1 is exposed 3 by a light image and at the same time the bias voltage reverse from the static charge in polarity of the toner is impressed to a conductive base body 2 to implant the charge reverse in polarity to the toner irradiated with the light. The static charge of the toner in the region where the light is irradiated is therefore made zero or the toner has the charge reverse from the static charge in polarity. A large difference is thus generated in the quantity of static charge and/or static charge between the toner in the region where the light is irradiated and the toner in the region where the light is not irradiated and the contrast of the resulted image is high with less photographic fog. |
