PURPOSE:To enable a sorter to store many sheets of papers, by separating a storage section of paper into at least two groups and enabling each section to be spread and contracted while offset in a direction at a right angle with the incoming direction of the paper. CONSTITUTION:A sorter, separating its storage section of paper into two groups A, B and spreading the paper storage section A in a specified dimension while contracting the paper storage section B, stores the copied paper in the paper storage section A while enables each section A, B to be offset by movably arranging plates 11, 11a in a direction at a right angle with the advance direction of the paper. In this way, the sorter can be formed in a compact size while its storable number of volumes of papers can be increased because the sorter can store in one of its paper storage sections at least two volumes of papers. |
