PURPOSE:To provide the titled copolymer having a specific number-average polymerization degree, and giving an elastomer having excellent oil resistance, weather resistance, heat resistance and freeze resistance, by copolymerizing chloroprene with a polyether (meth)acrylate and a specific crosslinkable monomer, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective copolymer consisting of randomly bonded (A) 1 unit of the monomer of formula I , (B) 1/10-1/700 unit of the monomer of formula II (R<1> is H or methyl; R<2> is 2.5-6C alkylene; n is 4-20; R<3> is H, 1-3C alkyl, etc.), (C) 1/10-1/2,000 unit of the monomer of formula III (R<4> is H or metyl) and (D) 0-1/10 unit of the monomer of formula IV (X is 2-chloro-1,3- butadiene monomer unit bonded by 1,2-addition or 3,4-addition) and having a number-average polymerization degree of the main chain of 20-1.2X10<4>, can be produced by copolymerizing chloroprene, a polyalkylene glycol mono(meth)acrylate, and a polyalkylene glycol di(meth)acrylate, etc. in the presence of an emulsifier, a dispersing agent and a radical polymerization initiator. |
