摘要 PURPOSE:A composition useful as a sliding member having high critical PV value (P; load; V is velocity) and low abrasion wear, obtained by blending ultra- high-molecular-weight polyethylene powder with crosslinked polystyrene beads and an organic peroxide. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.wt. ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene powder having >=1,000,000 average molecular weight by viscosity method and >=3,000,000 average molecular weight by light scattering method is blended with (B) 0.2- 20pts.wt., preferably 1-6pts.wt. crosslinked polystyrene beads (having toluene absorption amount of 0.6-2.5wt%, heat-resistant temperature of 200 deg.C, and average particle diameter of 6-200mu in a spherical state) and (C) 0.004-0.2, preferably 0.04-0.1pt.wt. organic peroxide [e.g., 2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di(t-butyl peroxy)hexane, preferably in powdery state], and 0-100pts.wt. sintered material (powdered into 1-10mm. particle diameter) of the component A alone as an arbitrary component.
