PURPOSE:To supply a mixture having an optimum air-fuel ratio with a simple structure, by actuating a secondary fuel system and a throttle valve in a two- stage carburettor by an appropriate amount upon starting, deceleration, acceleration, etc. CONSTITUTION:A secondary throttle valve 4 in a two stage carburettor 1 is driven by a pulse motor 6, and a solenoid valve 13 driven by a solenoid 14 is disposed in a secondary fuel system, particularly upstream of a fuel passage 8 opened downstream of the throttle valve. Upon starting, deceleration and acceleration of the engine, when auxiliary fuel is required, a control device 15 drives the solenoid 14 and the pulse motor 6 which thereby operate to supply a mixture having an optimum air-fuel ratio. By utilizing the secondary fuel system and throttle valve which rest during normal engine operation, a control means having a simple structure may be obtained. |
