The cathode-rays tube has a fluorescent membrane on the face plate. The luminous element contained into this fluorescent membrane is mainly zinc sulfide. Also, the active elements are copper and aluminium. The active quantity of copper is 3x10-4 5x10-3 gram per 1gram of zinc sulfide. When the average reflection rate of magnesium- oxide diffusion plate is 100 percent, the average reflection rate on the range of optical wave length is above 75 percent. This cathode- rays tube is characterized by a fluorescent substance of zinc sulfide activated by copper and aluminium.
