<p>The suspension system is for a vehicle with chassis, and incorporates a rocker beam (16) pivoting on the chassis at a point between its ends, and extending in the lengthwise direction of the vehicle. An axle (28) supported on one end of the beam carries a first vehicle wheel (29), and a supporting arm (36) pivoting on the beam carries a second axle (37) with wheel. The pivot mountings of arm and beam are on the same side of the second wheel, and there is an elastic component (35) between them, and coupled to them at opposite ends. Arm and rocker beam pivot mountings (17, 43) can be situated between the two wheels, and the elastic component can be an air-suspension unit.</p> |
