PURPOSE:To reduce an amount of a reducing agent used and to make long-term continuous stable operation possible, by reducing SO2 gas by using coke obtained by blending circulated and used coke with new coke in a specific ratio as a reducing agent. CONSTITUTION:SO2 gas is fed from the bottom of the reductive reactor 2 of moving bed type, brought into contact with coke heated at 500-1,000 deg.C as a reducing agent, and reduced into S, H2S, carbonyl sulfide, etc. The coke is fed through discharge coke hopper 3 to the sieve 4, separated into ash and coke powder, and discharged. While unburned coke is sent to the hopper 5, the circulated and used coke is blended with new coke in a weight ratio of (0.5-3):1, and circulated through the coke feed hopper 1.
