A carriage 1, moved by a cam 3, carries electromagnets 2 which, when selected, raise pivoted barriers so that selection pins 4 are not moved by movement of the carriage 1. Non- selected electromagnets 2 do not pivot the barriers so that they engage the pins 4 which are then moved by the carriage to engage, e.g. the hooks of a dobby. <IMAGE> |
