PURPOSE:To surpress negative electrostatic charging of the first photoconductive layer to a low value, by forming the first photoconductive layer of As2Se3 vapor deposited on a substrate of a nickel plate in a composite type electrophotographic sensitive body having double photoconductive layers each capable of receiving and retaining electrostatic charge different from eachother in polarity. CONSTITUTION:The first photoconductive layer 2 is formed by vapor depositing As2Se3 in vacuum on a conductive substrate 1 having a nickel plate or nickel conductive layer, and an interlayer 4 made of an org. or inorg. material is formed on the layer 2. On this layer the second photoconductive layer 3 is formed consisting of a photoconductor, such as CdS, a binder, an electrondonor, etc., and being sensitive to a part of chromatic light in the visible light region, and capable of transmitting the other chromatic color lights, thus forming an objective photosensitive body. A 2-color copy can be obtained by applying primary corona charging to this photosensitive body, then, secondary corona charging different in polarity to allow each photoconductive layer to retain charge different from each other in polarity, then imagewise exposing and developing them. |
