PURPOSE:A low-melting enamel glaze composition that is obtained by adding a specific amount of MoO3 for foam inhibition and a slip agent to a low-melting enamel fritt containing MoO3, thus being sintered at a temperature lower than A1 transformation point to form enamel layers of high adhesion and surface smoothness. CONSTITUTION:A mixture consisting of SiO2, B2O3, Na2O, F2, K2O, Li2O, CaO, BaO, Al2O3, ZrO2 and more than 1% of MoO3 is melted into a glassy substance. The melt is thrown into water to effect rapid cooling and dried to prepare a low-melting fritt. The fritt is combined with a slipping agent and more than 0.5% of MoO3 for foam inhibition, milled in a ball mill to form an aqueous slip, thus giving the objective low-melting enamel glaze composition. The composition form enamel layers at a temperature lower than the A1 transformation point of steel with high adhesion and surface smoothness.
