PURPOSE:To obtain a novel photosensitive material for electrophotograph, stable to heat and light, high in carrier-generating ability, also with outstanding characteristics such as electric charge retention in long wavelength region, sensitivity and residual electric potential, by providing a photosensitive layer containing specific trisazo compound on conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:The objective photosensitive material can be obtained by providing, on conductive substrate (e.g. aluminum foil-laminated polyester film) 1, photosensitive layer 4 containing (A) trisazo compound of formula I [A is (substituted) phenyl or naphthyl; Ar<1> and Ar<2> are (substituted) carbocyclic aromatic groups different each other] {pref. a compound of formula II [R1 and R2 are each H, alkyl, halogen, nitro, amino, acyl(amino)]} 2 and, preferably, (B) electron-donating matter (e.g. a compound of formula III) 3. EFFECT:Small in deterioration due to fatigue in repeated use.
