PURPOSE:To simplify operations and controlling of switching printing papers as well as reduce the numbers of parts and also of assembling processes by connecting a regulating mechanism of head gap using cam with the switching mechanism of a paper feeder. CONSTITUTION:In printing the papers of a continuous paper book, a cam 41 is counterclockwise turned through 90 deg. further from the neutral position P. Whereupon, a platen 2 is lowered and head gap is opened, and at the same time a pin 52 erected from the cam 41 comes into contact with the lower end of a circular groove 51 and the second cam 50 is counterclockwise turned through about 30 deg. to connect the drive system to a tractor 5. When the cam 41 is clockwise turned to adjust the head gap from the condition, the pin 52 is only loosely moved in the groove 51, and the processing condition of the book set on the left-handed turning end of the cam 41 is held. The cam 41 is clockwise turned through 90 deg. from the neutral position P from the processing condition of the paper, and the cam 50 is clockwise turned to obtain the processing condition of single slip. |
