PURPOSE:To execute both die-clamping and forming by a driving source of a pressure die, and to simplify a device by die-clamping a split die by moving the pressure die in the axial direction, and plastic-working a rod-like metallic stock by the split die and the pressure die. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 3 is set uprightly at a position of a hole 2 of a holding member 1 by using a suitable member. Subsequently, a pressure die 6 is moved downward together with a split die 15, the tip of a pressure die body 7 hits against the upper end of the pipe 3, and lower part is fitted into the hole 2, a bulge part 5 of the pipe 3 hits against the holding member 1 and it is held by the holding member 1. In this state, the lower face part of the split die 15 hits against the upper face of the holding member 1, and a movement of the split die 15 stops. In this state, when the pressure die 6 further moves downward, a tapered part 20 conforms with a tapered part 21, a movable die member 16 moves in the direction shown with an arrow A, and die-clamping is executed. Also, a moving die 8 moves downward, a projecting part 14 contacts by pressing to a projecting part 13, a pressing force of the moving die 8 is transferred directly to the pressure die body, and the pipe 3 is brought to a flare working by an expanded part 12 of the pressure die body 7.
