PURPOSE:To reduce man-hour for working, and also to improve a strength of a product by providing roll-shaped metallic dies on the same axis, making them movable in the opposite direction to each other, pressing a rotating shaft stock and working a shaft. CONSTITUTION:Roll-shaped metallic dies 21, 22 which can be pressed freely to a shaft stock 10 are provided in parallel on the same axis, and also supported so as to be freely movable in the opposite direction. These metallic dies 21, 22 are pressed against the stock 10 driven to rotate round the axis. Subsequently, the stock 10 and the metallic dies 21, 22 are moved relatively in the axial direction. As a result, it is formed to a stepped shaft 1 having a large diameter part and a small diameter part. In this way, man-hour for working is reduced, and also since the shaft stock 10 is not cut, the stock flow flows along the stepped part, and a strength of a product is improved. |
