PURPOSE:To obtain a chemically stable gas separation membrane having large transmission coefficient and separation factor, by using a fluorine-containing acrylic acid derived polymer or its crosslinked polymer. CONSTITUTION:The titled separation membrane comprises a fluorine-containing acrylic acid derived polymer having a structural unit represented by the drawing. In this case, it is necessary to copolymerize 70% or more by wt. of a whole of the structural unit represented by the drawing. Said polymer is dissolved in a fluorine contained solvent and a crosslinking agent is added thereto while the prepared solution is applied to a porous support in a thickeness of 1-50mum to form a membrane. The crosslinking agent is used to the functional group such as a carboxyl group, an hydroxyl group or an epoxy group in the polymer and has function for increasing the strength of the gas separation membrane. When the functional group is an acid group or a cinnamic acid group, the crosslinking agent is not used and the polymer is irradiated with ultraviolet rays or far ultraviolet rays to crosslink the same.
