PURPOSE:To shorten the braking time by combining various types of brake systems of a rotary electric machine and performing an optimum brake. CONSTITUTION:When a stop control is started, a load is gradually reduce to no load, and a frequency converter is operated immediately after disconnectin from a power system. The regenerative control is started by this, and when the rotating speed of the generating motor is thereafter becomes approx. 10% of the rated value, three phases of generator line sides are shortcircuited, field currents ar supplied, and electric brakes are started. When the rotating speed eventually becomes approx. 1% of the rated value, a mechanical brake is operated to completely stop the genertor. This controlling method is performed to shorten the braking time. |
