PURPOSE:To form a non-releasable brine resistant thin film to the surface of a metal material, by heating the metal material to the m.p. of the thermoplastic resin in expanded styrol and, thereafter, bringing the heated one into contact with a solid expanded styrol. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a metal material to the m.p. of the thermoplastic resin and other additives contained in expanded foamed styrol and solid expanded styrol is contacted with and adhered to the heated one. By this method, a non-releasable brine resistant thin film is formed on the surface of the metal material.
