<p>ii- APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR REMOVING GAS FROM A LIQUID A method and apparatus for debubbling liquids are disclosed. The method comprises subjecting a gas-containing liquid to an acoustic energy flow in the form of pulses and pauses to liberate bubbles of the gas from the liquid. The liquid is subjected to the acoustic energy flow while flowing in a direction substantially opposite to the direction of acoustic energy flow in the liquid. The apparatus for removing gas from a liquid comprises means for generating an acoustic energy flow within the liquid in the form of pulses and pauses and means for causing flow of the liquid in a direction substantially opposite to the direction of the acoustic energy flow within the liquid.</p> |
