PURPOSE:To enhance the activity or activity lasting property of a hydrocarbon catalyst, by supporting a platinum cluster-anion complex salt, a rhenium compound and halogen by an inorg. porous carrier and subsequently performing the oxidizing and reducing treatments of the supported carrier. CONSTITUTION:0.01-5wt% of a platinum cluster-anion complex salt (as a platinum metal), 0.01-5wt% of a rhenium compound such as a rhenium carbonyl compound (as a rhenium metal) and 0.2-5wt% of halogen such as chlorine are supported by an inorg. porous carrier such as alumina. Subsequently, the supported carrier is subjected to oxidation treatment at 450-600 deg.C in air and further subjected to reducing treatment at 50-550 deg.C in a hydrogen atmosphere. Catalyst thus obtained shows excellent activity and improved activity-lasting property to naphtha reforming reaction. |
