<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the quality of a dehydrated cake and to stabilize the treatment of waste water, by adjusting the pH of waste water frodm the cooling process of combustion waste gas to 7-11 and mixing the generated slurry with a gypsum slurry before dehydration. CONSTITUTION:The separated slurry 2b discharged from a second solid-liquid separation system 9 is mixed with the gypsum slurry 23 obtained from a gypsum separating process 4 while the resulting slurry mixture is guided to the dehydrating and feed tank 12 of a dehydration process 10 to be premixed and conditioned so as to bring the concn. of the gypsum slurry to 50% or more on a solid basis in the tank 12. In the next step, the prepared slurry 29 is supplied to a vertical centrifugal separator 14 from a pump and automatic liquid feeding valves A, B to perform dehydration. It is characteristic that the liquid supply to the vertical centrifugal separator 4 is performed in two stages and the feeding speed of the slurry 29 to be fed beginning to overflow a basket is accelerated to a large extent as compared with the feeding from the start of overflow to the finish of feeding thereof.</p> |
