PURPOSE:To simplify the circuit configuration and to reduce the manufacturing cost by commonly controlling rotary drive exciting currents flowed through exciting phases over all motors. CONSTITUTION:Motor drive signals having combination signals of H and L levels are outputted from output terminals X0, Y0 of input/output ports 11 to sequentially conduct transistors 15a, 15b, 15c, 15d. As a result, an exciting current is supplied from the positive side output terminal 2 of a DC power source to the exciting phases A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2, D1, D2 of the first and second stepping motors, which simultaneously start rotating. When the temperature of either the motor becomes the predetermined allowable value or higher, the output terminals Z01, Z02 of the input/output ports vary to high level, and the all energizing phases of the corresponding stepping motor is interrupted. |
