PURPOSE:To enable provision of a liquid fuel vaporization type burner in which combustion gas is not circulated, by a method wherein, according to an ignition instruction, liquid fuel is burnt by means of a burner, and when the temperature of an evaporating chamber is increased to a given temperature, combustion is stopped, and after a given time has elapsed, liquid fuel is supplied and ignited by the use of an ignitor on the downstream side of the burner ports of the evaporating chamber. CONSTITUTION:Liquid fuel sprayed through a nozzle 4 is ignited by an ignitor 5, and is burnt in an evaporating chamber 11. Combustion gas heats the evaporating chamber 11 and flows in a heat exchanger 21 through a combustion gas passage 15 by means of burner ports 12. When the evaporating chamber 11 is heated to temperature suitable for vaporization of kerosene being fuel, a pump 3 is brought to a stop to stop combustion. After a given time has elapsed, the operation of the pump 3 is restarted to spray the kerosene through the nozzle 4. The kerosene is vaporized in the evaporating chamber 11, and flows out to a combustion gas passage 15 through the burner ports 12 of a premixture burner 10 as it is mixed with the air. The fuel is ignited by an ignitor 20, the ignited fuel is completely burnt by means of the air through secondary air ports 13a and tertiary air ports 16a, and flows in the heat exchanger 21. Since the burnt combustion gas heats the evaporating chamber 11, vaporization is continued and constant-combustion operation is effected. |
