PURPOSE:To allow balance alignment while maintaining shaft precision by machining fine, shallow grooves in the circumferential direction of a shaft at a short distance in the longitudinal direction of the shaft and performing balance alignment after releasing the stress remaining in the shaft when molding the shaft. CONSTITUTION:First, grooves 81, 82 are provided on the shaft surface D portion retaining the surface residual stress in the circumferential direction at a fine pitch. Next, the inter-groove portion (w) of these grooves 81, 82 is cut out by a quantity equivalent to the residual unbalance quantity, and balance correction is performed between the grooves. Accordingly, even if the surface layer retaining the residual stress is cut out, the distortion due to the stress release is suppressed by the warp at an extremely short gap between the grooves, and the balance alignment of the shaft can be performed while the shaft precision is maintained. |
