PURPOSE:To manufacture heart cam spring in an automatic process with good mass-productivity, by etching an SUS steel sheet to a prescribed shape. CONSTITUTION:An alkaline photoresist film 22 is coated on an SUS steel sheet 21 having uniform compsn., and ultraviolet rays are irradiated on the film 22 by high pressure Hg lamp through a photomask 23 made of glass base material, to expose the film 22. Next, an exposed part 24 of the film 22 is developed by developer composed of 'Trichlene(R)', at last, the sheet 21 is etched to a prescribed shape by etching liquid composed of chloride, then the part 24 is washed and removed. Many heart cam spring 31 having the same shape preped. at one time in such a way. The obtd. spring 31 made of the sheet 21 is after- etched by the chloride, then barrel polished, aging treated, then glazing barrel polished, electroless Ni plated to completed product.
