The multiple stage grain milling installation using a pneumatic conveying system recirculates the hot damp air circulated during drying and milling stages through a heat exchanger, to extract useful heat. The recirculated air is brought into direct contact with the freshly arriving relatively cold grain at the entry point to the milling plant, also moistening it. The heat exchanger through which the grain enters is followed by a humidity content measuring device before passing through a cleaning and polishing stage. At the entry point to the heat exchanger is a branch connection for a spray system for moistening the recirculating air. |
