A vent of the ball vent type, more specifically a cap vent, comprised of a shut-off device (4) in the shape of a sphere or segment of a sphere, a vent housing (2) with a valve seat in the shape of a seat ring (10, 10') housed in a track (11) in the vent housing or between the vent housing and an escutcheon plate integrated in the vent housing (3) as well as a spring device behind the seat ring in order to press the seat ring against the sealing surface (7) of the shut-off device. According to the invention, the spring mentioned contains several plugs (14) of springy, heat tolerant material arranged in cylindrically drilled holes (13) evenly distributed in the integrated vent housing behind the seat ring.<IMAGE> |
