PURPOSE:A herbicidal composition for paddy rice, containing a specific dibenzylurea based herbicide and a specific pyrazole based herbicide together, and capable of making up disadvantages of the respective herbicides and improving the herbicidal effect and weeding spectrum, etc. by the very remarkable synergistic action, etc. CONSTITUTION:A herbicidal composition for paddy rice containing (A) a dibenzylurea based herbicide expressed by the formula (X is H or halogen; R<1> is methyl or ethyl) and (B) 4-(2,4-dichlorobenzoyl)-1,3-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl-p- toluenesulfonate as active constituents preferably at 1:0.5-5 weight ratio between the components (A) and (B). The above-mentioned composition is capable of not only making up disadvantages of the respective components in individual use but also enhancing remarkably the weeding spectrum and width of suitable application period by the very remarkable synergistic action and is capable of reducing the amount of the respective components to be used. Thus, the phytotoxicity can be reduced, and the economic efficiency can be improved.
