PURPOSE:To prevent a thrust bearing from bearing of radial load by making the holding system of thrust bearing for mainly bearing the thrust load occurring in rotor flexible in radial direction. CONSTITUTION:The outer shaft 70 of thrust bearing 7 is held by a ring 10 and a holding system 11 comprised of a stopper 12 having a circular flange section 12a and a stud 13 for fixing said stopper 12 movably against main casing 3m only in radial direction. The stud 13 is constituted with a threaded section 13a to be screwed into the casing 3m, small diameter section 13b, threaded section 13c to be screwed with a nut and a nut 13d where the small diameter section 13b will flex upon application of force at the free end. Consequently, upon occurrence of thrust in rotor 2 in the arrow direction A, the thrust bearing 7 will be displaced radially to scarcely bear the radial load. |
